Mark and the MCD Fire Team in Australia has worked with Charter Hall across many commercial projects in Sydney, including its major $1.8 billion Chifley South development, as its lead fire engineer for performance-based fire engineering solutions. The South Tower includes the following:

• Demolition of the southern portion of the existing podium, and internal demolition works within the north podium, and within parts of the existing whole of site basement. 
• Basement works to integrate the existing whole-of-site basement with Chifley South, including reconfiguration of various basement levels, parking layouts (including a reduction in parking), and a new whole of site loading dock.  
• Construction of a new Chifley South podium for commercial and retail premises. 
• Internal alterations and additions to the existing Chifley North podium to integrate the existing Chifley North podium into the new Chifley South podium (to create a single integrated podium);  
• Construction of a new southern commercial office tower above the new southern podium. 
• A new through site link connecting Bent Street and Hunter Street. 
• Provision of public art; and 
• Extension and augmentation of services and utilities to the development, as required. 

In addition, and in parallel, Mark, with MCD Fire Engineering in Australia has worked over the past 4 years on the Enabling Works and proposed upgrades to the existing North Tower to facilitate the new South Tower development.
